About Me

Hello, I’m Rose, an animal lover and proud vegan who finds joy in reading, exploring, and learning about every facet of the vegan lifestyle.

Saving animals is at the heart of my mission, and that journey began early:

I stopped eating meat at the age of thirteen in 1982, over 48 years ago, after a school visit to a chicken farm and an eye‑opening visit to a slaughterhouse in my local market town. Those experiences shaped my understanding of compassion and set me on the path I’m still walking today.

I’m passionate about sharing knowledge of veganism in a way that feels fun, light‑hearted, and friendly. I believe making veganism accessible is essential.

I refer to myself as an ‘ Ethegan ‘, a word I coined to help people understand that I am vegan due to ethics first. For the simple reason, it saves have to repeat ‘vegan for the animals’ multiple times a day, and is a fun way to get people talking about veganism.

This website is intended to be a welcoming space where we can all learn, share, and develop together. I don’t pretend to know it all or have all the answers; instead, I see this as a journey we take side by side, discovering new ideas and celebrating the culture of kindness together.

My hope is to inspire curiosity, celebrate creativity, and show that vegan living is a lifestyle filled with joy, connection, and compassion.
